Cooking is good for the soul.

I have always enjoyed cooking for as long as I can remember. It started at an early age with my grandmother.

My fondest childhood memory stems back to the smell of breakfast aroma in the air at her house. It would still be dark outside, but there is no sleeping with that deliciousness surrounding me.

Of course, then, there was no such idea of canned anything. Everything would be freshly made daily and always fresh eggs too.

I was always a helping hand in the kitchen and couldn’t wait for the next meal that needed to be prepared. I learned quite a bit at such a young age and very eager to learn and it just began from those moments. She was a wonderful lady, a loving wife, mother to many children, and a very powerful influence on me, and she has been missed greatly for years now, but memories can’t be forgotten.

When I first got married it took a little more practice in the kitchen to learn better recipes. I wasn’t cooking for my grandmother any longer and this person had an opinion.

Absolutely, I welcomed the feedback with open arms because improvement is born from understanding one’s mistakes. The constructive criticism was a joy to receive, and it significantly honed my culinary prowess.

As the years went on, we had 3 children that became very spoiled to moms cooking. Anytime a mention of what to eat was brought up I was eager to make whatever their hearts desired. They all have their favorite dishes and I love making them smile with good food.

What makes you happy? I hope you get a great sense of joy from making your family and friends happy with all your great food you prepare.
