Beginning each day with a calm mood takes a positive attitude.


How we approach our day begins with our attitude. If you wake up mad or aggravated about something that occurred the day before, you are just setting yourself up on the wrong foot.

Let yesterday be and focus on the new positive changes you can set yourself up for. Learn to let things go at night before bed. Here are a few things I find to be helpful.

  • Try keeping a journal of things you need to work on. what bothered or triggered you, how to react better to situations?
  • Think of everything positive you have going for you and don’t worry so much on the things you want but don’t have.
  • Give a friend a quick call or text and just vent. Get things off your mind for the day. They can always find a way to make you smile.

Now as a new day approaches, grab that cup of coffee and find a positive way to get going. Comparison

Comparison to what others have and making you feel you need to be that way just isn’t healthy for us. We all have different paths in life. Follow your heart, set your goals and strive for “YOUR” perfect version. Everyone starts somewhere and they just started before you is all just give yourself grace but do not compare.

Now, I am not claiming to know it all, but over the last 13 years of babysitting I have learned a lot from children. They will put you in a quick reality check that having a bad attitude isn’t going to cut it.

What you radiate from yourself bounces to others so in conclusion, you want a good day, get the attitude in check first thing.

Thankfulness

Always be thankful for everything you have. Some would give anything to be blessed with half. We are not promised tomorrow. Embrace the day, love your family, say I love you often.

Forgive and Forget

People will do you wrong and most of the time they are having personal issues of their own. You can ALWAYS choose to be the bigger person and just let it go. Forgiveness is the easy part but forgetting takes more time.

From personal experience I have had of my own, I made all attempts on my end and for years on end no willingness on their ends were made. So, at this point ties have to be cut and you will see positive light on your end.

In the end of the day, we all want to be happy. Happiness is a choice; You CHOOSE to be happy it doesn’t just happen. Start your day with positive thoughts and just watch how much better things go in all aspects of the day.
